This Dolphin gets ready to touch down at the San Carlos Airport during the Hiller Aviation Museum’s annual Kid’s Air Fair event. This aircraft is one of six Dolphins stationed at CG Air Station San Francisco. The Dolphin was selected by the United States Coast Guard in 1979 as its new short range recovery air-sea rescue helicopter. 6520 was delivered to Air Station San Francisco July 24, 2022 after having undergone Service Life Extension work and avionics upgrades, converting this Dolphin to the “Echo” configuration and extend the service life by 10,000 flight hours.
