Foreign Minister Antony Blinken said the United States monitored what it described as an increase in human rights violations in India by several officials, in direct reprimands that rarely occurred by Washington’s Asian rights records.”We are regularly involved with our Indian partners about these shared values (human rights) and the end, we monitor some recent developments about India including an increase in human rights violations by several governments, police and prison officials,” Blinken said, “said Blinken) on Monday in a press direction together with Defense Secretary A.S. Lloyd Austin, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmananyam Jaisankar and Defense Minister India Rajnath Singh.
Blinken is not complicated. Singh and Jaisanhar, who spoke after Blinken in the briefing, did not comment on human rights issues. Blinken’s statement came a few days after representative A.S. Representative Ilhan Omar questioned the alleged reluctance of the US government to criticize the Government of India’s Prime Minister Narendra about human rights.
“What needs to do Modi to the Indian Muslim population before we stop considering them as a pair in peace?” Omar, who belongs to the Democratic Party President Joe Biden, said last week.Modi critics said the Hindu nationalist ruling party had fostered religious polarization since the power in 2014.Because Modi in power, Hindu groups of right-wing have launched an attack on minorities who claim they are trying to prevent religious conversion. The law was intended to provide Indian citizenship to Buddhism, Christianity, Hindu, Jain, Parsis and Sikh who escaped Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan before 2015.In the same year, immediately after the 2019 re-election victory, the Modi Government revoked Kashmir’s special status in an effort to fully integrate the majority of Muslims with other countries. To keep the protest cover, the administration detained many Kashmir political leaders and sent more police and paramilitary armies to the Himalayan region also claimed by Pakistan.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Modi has recently been banned from wearing a hijab in classrooms in the state of Karnataka. Hindu group Hardline then demand such restrictions in Indian countries.
