Urban Jungle Bloggers is a monthly series hosted by Igor and Judith to encourage us all to bring a little more green into our lives. Each month they, plus many bloggers worldwide, share ideas to create an urban jungle through styling ideas, DIYs and green tips & tricks and for March we have Easter styling.
I love Easter, not just for chocolate Easter eggs, but for the promise of longer days and warmer weather, and emerging buds in the garden. And, really, I think Easter styling has to be rather kitsch with lots of eggs, bunnies, birds and choc – the more the merrier – and blossom to remind us of new beginnings outdoors.
This vignette started with the china bunnies that belonged to my great aunt and I think they look so happy resting on a bed of moss and nibbling at the chocolate eggs. Surrounded by greenery and birds twittering they are two contented Easter bunnies. Adding gorgeous blossom cut from next doors tree (I will own up, honest) gives a lovely spring feel and so pretty in pink. Fleur (my cute Abigail Brown bird) sits on a nest of moss, guards her eggs and surveys the scene.
