Urban Decay concealer Pencil in shade FBI –  £12 at Debenhams

This is brand new, but I dropped it and it all smudged. Typical Jennifer June behavior.

Let’s get personal: Over the past 2 or 3 years I have had to live with a rare form of Rheumatoid Arthritis. It gets very painful and extremely exhausting; I won’t lie, it has most definitely, no questions about it, most certainly affected my appearance and even motivational skills towards it. Anyone who suffers with a form of Arthritis will know how physically and mentally exhausting it can be, it takes so much effort to plan one evening out or a trip to town. Anyway the point of this post was to highlight my under eye area which is a clear indication of the utter shit I have felt like over this winter –oh yes, each Winter leaves its mark- , it is red and irritated, dark and tired and I cannot for the life of me ever look not tired. So this year I am on the look out for the perfect concealer. I am pretty sure that the perfect concealer is in the form of Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer, but I wanted to try else where first.

I like the creamy consistency of the Urban Decay concealer, and the fact that I can throw it in my bag for easy touch ups, but I literally hate sharpening beauty products. I bought this concealer after being highly recommended so thought I would overlook this minor detail. The photos above are without any foundation at all and I genuinely think that with my foundation over the top it might look a little better. It still doesn’t hide the darker areas completely which is a bit of a let down as on my bad days my hands are too sore to apply foundation, so it would seem that my quest continues.

Any recommendations? Does anyone else suffer with really bad under eye areas? If anyone suffers from something similar I would love to discuss make up and beauty techniques as it can make regimes a little more difficult.

Oh and before anyone says it, next one I’m trying will be the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection –one step ahead of you hehe.
