BeforeAfter head shaving
Ten days!  That’s how long it has been since I shaved my head for St. Baldrick’s.  And this has been one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life.  When I was a teenager I cut my hair and donated it to Locks For Love which I thought was special, but that has not compared to this.  Everyone should shave their head.

Okay, not really.  I know some just can’t.  And that’s fine.  You’re still great in my book.  And my donators have been truly amazing.  I have reached $1000 in donations for shaving my head.  I am so thrilled that I have been able to raise all that money just for one gesture.

Quite frankly I really like being bald too.  It’s so easy to get ready in the morning.  No more brushes or combs or worrying about bad hair days.  I get out of the shower and do a quick towel over my head and that’s it, I’m done.  I’m embracing hats and bandanas when I go outside.  It’s really not all that bad.  My hair is growing back in quickly too.

I keep having dreams that I’m going to have weird hair growth patterns.  That doesn’t seem to be the case, but I keep envisioning a mullet.  If that’s going to be the case I think I’ll happily keep it shaven.

I would like to reach my fundraising goal of $5000 still.  So I am continuing to push.  On the day I shaved my head $1000 sure seemed like a far cry, but I did it.  Less than a week after shaving my head I had raised that $1000.  So I think $5000 is still doable.  None the less I am thrilled with what I have accomplished for St. Baldrick’s.  I will continue asking for money though and asking that you spread the word.  These brave kids deserve it.  So keep those donations coming.  It’s so easy to do.  Just click here, click donate, put in your credit card information, and that’s it.  It’s safe and secure.  You can even make a donation over the phone.  St. Baldrick’s grants the most money to childhood cancer research of any foundation.  They are creating cutting edge treatments for children with Cancer.

Won’t you make a secure donation today?
