After the launch of Nokia 8, all focus is now on the upcoming Nokia Phone. The yet to be launched Nokia smartphone has been in news since long.
Recently, The upcoming phone, Nokia 9, is supposed to come with 6GB RAM and 8GBRAM variants and may have 128GB of internal storage. The Nokia 9 will carry IP68 certification and will be waterproof/dustproof.
It will have a fingerprint sensor located at the back and will come with an IRIS Scanner. Nokia 9 will be pitted directly against the premium phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8+ or the iPhone X and we can expect the price to be near $1000 mark.
LG G7
LG did a lot of correct things with LG G6, firstly, a beautiful device, an amazing display and an overall near perfect smartphone. If LG G6 couldn’t convince you, LG took things a step ahead with LG V30.
As of now, not much is known about LG’s upcoming smartphones the LG G7, however, early leaks hint that LG is planning to go full throttle with the G7.
It is touted to come with the powerful Snapdragon 845 chipset and may well be the first phone to house the flagship processor from Qualcomm. LG G7 will also have an OLED display and may well be launched during the MWC 2018 and may be priced around $750.
Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+
Rumours around Samsung upcoming smartphones never stop. We just had a successful launch of the Galaxy Note 8 (although it is getting mixed reviews) news around the next flagship smartphone from Samsung has started popping up.
While we’re sure that the S9/S9+ will have infinity display like the S8/S8+, we can expect a boost in optics or possibly a dual rear camera setup and it will surely house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, like the LG G7. The Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ release date is yet not known but we can expect it to launch globally around April 2018. If rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will house the fingerprint sensor on the front side of the display below the display. It may have a similar notch as the one on iPhone X or the Essential Phone – on the bottom of the display to make space for the sensor.
Xiaomi Mi 7
Xiaomi is one brand that has seen phenomenal growth since last few years. For a brand as young as Xiaomi, it is a commendable effort. This Chinese brand was known initially to be highly inspired by Apple products. However, that have their own design language and have bestselling products across domains, be it low budget Android phones or Mid-range Android Phones or even Flagship phones.
The company has a fair share (in fact even higher than Apple as per IDC!) in the wearable category and their Mi Mix was a breakthrough in terms of design.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 will house a 6-inches Full HD Display, larger than the Mi 6 and we can expect Xiaomi to go Bezel-less route with its upcoming flagship smartphone. On the specifications part, Xiaomi Mi 7 is rumored to come in two variants, 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM.
Samsung Galaxy X – The Foldable Phone
We’ve seen so many teasers and leaks about the actual foldable phone from Samsung, however recent developments suggest that this innovatively designed upcoming smartphone may be launched soon.
We have seen curved display phones like the Galaxy series from Samsung, however, the Galaxy X will come with the foldable technology.
The specifications of Galaxy X suggest that it will be powered either by a Samsung’s Exynos processor Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, it will have 4K Super AMOLED Foldable display with 2160×3840 pixel resolution.
However, we will have to wait further to get more on the phones with foldable displays however the future in quite near and Galaxy X is going to be one of the best much awaited upcoming smartphones from 2018 from Samsung, without any doubt.
OnePlus 5T
If you’ve wanted a smartphone with flagship specifications but never wanted to dig a hole in your pocket (cue: Kidney Jokes, plz), OnePlus devices are perfect for you.
There have a been a lot of rumors and leaks (planned and unplanned) about the upcoming smartphone from OnePlus i.e. OnePlus 5T which is slated to launch in November this year.
The OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch display sporting 2,160 x 1,080 resolution display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, trimmed down bezels on all four sides.
More changes can be expected on the optics and battery part, however, procesor, storage and RAM may remain the same. One may feel that the overall design is quite similar to the OPPO F5 that’s launching in India next month.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has recently been available on sale, we already have started getting inputs on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. In fact, the development team has already confirmed that they’ve already started planning for the next Note model, including working on enhancing its highlight features, like the S Pen.
So, at this time we do not have much information about Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s specifications, but we know that the Galaxy Note 9 will launch globally around August 2018 with tonnes of enhancements.
Razer Phone
Razer is known as one of the biggest gaming hardware manufacturers globally. They surprised everyone by acquiring the Kickstarter-raised,cloud-based smartphone manufacturing company Nextbit which raised the speculations that Razer is coming up with a smartphone of its own. Very recently, the official looks of first Razer phone got leaked.
In terms of technical specifications of the Razer phone, it is supposed to be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with whopping 8GB of RAM. The device is said to house a 5.7 inch Quad HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio, which might be a bit odd since all the upcoming phones bear 18:9 aspect display.
The powerful hardware hints that the upcoming smartphone will be, like any Razer product, gaming-centric. We have got no information about the launch of Razer Phone.
Sony Xperia Upcoming Phone
Of all the smartphone manufacturers, Sony has lagged far behind. Despite having access to the best technology and proven track record of coming up with phones that had the best optics, audio, and display, Sony has not made any significant changes in their design and that has contributed largely to their diminishing market share.
It’s rather unfortunate to see that Sony’s smartphones are not doing great in the market. However, this may change pretty soon as the company has decided to embrace the latest design and technology.
Reports suggest that Sony is working on a premium Xperia smartphone that will launch in 2018 and will house OLED display and for all, we know it may even be a flexible display phone. We can expect this phone to be announced as early as MWC 2018.
