Upcoming Books We’re Excited About

By Appraisingpages @appraisjngpages

My to-read list is ever deepening these days with all of these wonderful books coming out. Thank goodness for the Barnes & Noble gift card my father in law got me for my birthday (thanks Jay!) All the links below lead to the book’s Goodreads page so that you can add it to your to-read list too. And don’t forget to add us if you have a profile! Here’s what we’re really excited about:

prodigy marie lu cover advanced copy

We did a spotlight on Marie Lu in preparation for the 2012 San Diego Comic Con where she was doing signings and on the “Hungry for Dystopia” panel. Prodigy is a sequel to Legend, a dystopian novel that takes place in Los Angeles. We have an advanced copy of this book that we’re currently reading so stay tuned for this review!

We did a video review of her novel, If I Stay, which along with its sequel Where She Went is my favorite contemporary romance series, ever. Yeah, it’s good. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

  • Fit To Burst by Rachel Jankovic

I haven’t reviewed her previous book Loving the Little Years here because it’s one that I read before we started this blog and I simply haven’t found the time. However this is definitely one of my most favorite books and definitely the best book I’ve ever read on motherhood. I wish I could buy it in bulk and give it to every mom I know. It’s really that good. It’s on my Favorites shelf on Goodreads which is pretty exclusive if you ask me

:)

  • Crash by Lisa McMann

This is by the author of the Wake trilogy and Justine got to meet her at our favorite local bookstore. Justine had a great time at the signing and will be reviewing this one soon!

  • Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi

This is the second book in the Under the Never Sky series. Justine read the first one and is very excited to start the sequel of this paranormal fantasy adventure series. You all know that we’re suckers for a great cover and this series has beautiful covers that all go together perfectly.

  • Shades of the Earth by Beth Revis

Justine read the first two of this series but didn’t review them here. They’re heavy science fiction books that take place on different planets in space. This is the final book in the series and it’ll be so exciting to see how everything wraps up.
