Unusual autumn wedding flowers

If you want your autumn wedding to be truly special, there are plenty of little details that need to be planned. One of the most important parts of your plan is choosing the perfect autumn wedding flowers. While many people think of traditional autumn wedding flowers, there are some ways to spruce up your floral décor so that it provides your guests with a pleasant surprise.

Dark pinks and red

Instead of the usual orange or yellow colour scheme, why not try using a selection of dark pink and red blooms and berries instead? Examples of the ideal blooms for this bouquet include ranunculus, garden roses, pincushion proteas and hawthorn berries. You can also include some purple heather for added contrast in your autumn wedding flowers.

Pretty pastels

For something truly refined and elegant you can combine champagne roses, Juliet garden roses, pink ice proteas and hypericum. There are other fillers and foliage that you can also include if you like.

A modern touch with autumn wedding flowers

If you are a modern bride, you will love the way a magnificent king protea will look when arranged along with blushing bride proteas, wax flowers and eucalyptus foliage. The combination of pastels and brighter colours are simply gorgeous.

A bit more traditional

While you might not want to opt for the obvious orange or yellow, you can still include some lighter shades of orange if you like. Peach-coloured garden roses paired with white peonies artichokes and foliage will create a traditional look with a fabulous feminine twist.

No matter the flowers or colours you choose for your wedding, it is important that you are completely happy with your choice. If you are at all unsure, you should have your florist make a sample or even samples of different variations so that you can decide.
