Hello, all my students, bloggers, my lovely readers . I welcome you back to '' Abhirup'sBlog '' for today's publish . The topic I am going to talk about is on Google's new feature that has lot to do in safeguarding reputation to our daily office routine.
Avoid mailing the wrong person with the (right) option to call it back ... As Simple - Just follow simple steps - Abhirup'sBlog
Have you ever sent an email and then realise, '' Oops, I have typed the wrong recipient id ? ''
Well <laughed>, you donot worry as Gmail now has introduced the ''UNDO'' feature for mails, which can make your life easier than before.
I wish alike Gmail, our smartphones have had this option in text messages or even for hike / whatsapp messenger apps.
I have short-listed some of the daily life embarrassment, that can be safeguarded via this Gmail new '' UNSEND '' option.
1. In 2015, we are so addicted to sms/ whatsapp lingo that at times '' u ''. '' wht '', '' 2nite '', ''and '' dnt '' find their way into official emails, sometimes even into a job application, with the new ''UNSEND'' option you can always call back your mail and correct your mistakes. Same applies if you forget to upload an attachment and hit send button .
2. While adult websites are now banned by Govt., we still have access to enough videos that can embarrass a lot of people . We all, Inevitably watch these videos in our leisure. Imagine enjoying a parody on ''HR The Useless Department'' and sending it to your HR head instead of your friend/next cabin colleague. It happens to all of us, at-least once in life <proving life is spicy> (laugh).
We realize the mistake as soon we hit the option Sent mail.
Now what ... ? Well just the ''UNSEND'' option . yeah, that's it .
3. Early morning before heading office you have tough word/fight with your spouse /mom, you get irritated, all your mind say is ''Go To Hell'' or ''Do not Eat my Head'', except that you actually typed it and hit the ''sent'' button to your senior at office.
Uhuu, feeling tensed ! hang on, the damage is not yet done .
You can always ''UNDO'' it. Cool na !!
How to ''UNSEND'' your mail :
» Go to Gmail setting .
» Scroll down till you find the 'Undo Send' option and enable it .
» Set the cancellation period (this is the time within which you can undo the sent mail)
» Save changes and you are ready .
Hope you learned a new feature on Gmail from this lesson, write to me how helpful is it to you.
I will come up with other topic in my next publication.
So I hope you will be back here again .
