The Unplanned movie trailer has been released, and Pureflix announced it will release the film on 800 movie screens this March.
The controversial film is based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Abby Johnson.
Johnson was one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the United States. She worked at a clinic in Texas for eight years, and had become a community outreach director and media spokeswoman for the organization. One day she is asked to assist in an ultrasound-guided abortion at thirteen weeks gestation. After what she witnesses, she resigns, and becomes a pro-life activist.
The film brings us an eye-opening look inside the abortion industry from a woman who was once its most passionate advocate. After reading Johnson’s best-selling book, producers Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman were moved to bring this inspiring true story to the big screen, giving voice to a woman who has been on both sides of the abortion conversation.
The film stars Ashley Bratcher, Robia Scott, Brooks Ryan, and Jared Lotz.
In Theaters March 29th
