Story: Under the Skin starts as a woman (Johansson) drives around Scotland. She constantly stops to ask for directions, getting to know the people she stops. This is for a reason, as whenever she finds someone alone, she takes them to a special area.

The more people she meets, the more surreal the experiences become. As it becomes clear she isn’t just a woman, there is something unusual about her and her needs.

Verdict on Under the Skin

Under the Skin is a mystery sci-fi movie that follows a woman searching for lonely soles in Scotland. It sees her seducing them to help with her ability to maintain life. The more she meets, the more she starts to question her position in the hunt.

This is one of those very strange sci-fi movies, that focuses more on art. That doesn’t stop it from having amazing visuals used to create the unusual experiences she has. It is genuinely creepy how everything unfolds and Scarlett Johansson commits to one of her most unique roles.

Final Thoughts Under the Skin is a surreal cult classic.
