Verdict on Under the Influencer
Under the Influencer is a comedy-drama following a social media influencer who finds her popularity starting to go downhill. She doesn’t know where to go next with the style, leading to her needing to readjust to her life.
This is an interesting movie because it does feel like two very different stories. The first half shows the dangers of the ups and downs of social media, which we have seen before and offers very little new. On the second half of the movie, we see the idea of a life outside of social media. While both sides of the story do come together to show a strong message about having a life outside of social media. There is such a big message in this movie, it should be seen by anyone getting caught up in their own internet hype.
Final Thoughts – Under the Influencer has a massive message about social media stardom.
