Uncle Luc Unveils Nostalgia-tinged Video for ‘Christmas 1994’

Posted on the 15 December 2015 by Spectralnights

We love Christmas songs. You love Christmas songs. They’re the soundtrack to the most wonderful time of the year. From the ones you can’t escape from around the supermarket to the more underground hits by the likes of Los Campesinos! and Grandaddy, there’s just something so warming about music that celebrates the special day.

Our good friend Uncle Luc – owner of Super Fan 99 Records – has unveiled a video for his effort, ‘Christmas 1994’. Full of clips from adverts of yesteryear, you’ll be able to spot the infamous ET Atari game, Toys R Us, the Hungry Hippos and that selection box favourite, M & Ms. They provide a nice complement to the narrative of the song as Luke states – over BJ Cole’s steel guitar: ‘Oh Christmas, you’re so much more than the gifts propped up by lists’.
