Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that 120 megawatts of electricity generated from the Uma Oya project will be added to the national grid from next June.
This was revealed in a discussion held by the Minister last morning with the representatives of the construction company of the Uma Oya new hydro power plant project, which generates 120 mw.
Farab the Construction and Engineering Institute of the Government of Iran is carrying out this hydropower project. The construction of the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of April.Accordingly, it is revealed that electricity will be generated at full capacity and added to the national grid from the coming June.
