Ukraine Mass Killings: A Lowdown as World Reacts with Horror

Posted on the 05 April 2022 by Geetikamalik

The terrible image of the suburb of the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, has left world leaders who were shocked and horrified when reports of mass graves hundreds of Ukrainian civilians flowed – the latest in the Russian war crime list had been accused. Although Moscow explicitly denied the responsibility for the murder, it would definitely face new sanctions from the United States and Europe, who sided with Kyiv to punish Kremlin for the “slaughter”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who visited Bucha on Monday, warned that more deaths would likely be revealed in the areas confiscated from the Russian invaders. He will overcome the UN Security Council for the first time on Tuesday to highlight the allegations of mass murder.

Ukraine claims that they have found at least 410 civilian casualties near Kyiv on Sunday. The government added that of them, 50 bodies found in Bucha were victims of extra-judicial murders by Russian forces. The Pentagon said that it was “quite clear” that Russian forces were responsible for the cruelty in Bucha.

The Kremlin has denied the allegations and said the graves and bodies had been staged by Ukraine to tarnish Russia. Looking for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, Russia said it would present “empirical evidence” “lies” by Ukraine and Western sponsors.

Photographs circulating widely from Kyiv Regio have attracted punishment from global leaders. Graphic images of the battered or burning bodies left in the open or Burai have caused a call for harder sanctions, especially cutoff import fuel from Russia.Reacting to events, US President Joe Biden called Russian colleagues Vladimir Putin a war criminal to be tried. “This person is brutal, and what happens in Bucha is outrageous,” Biden said as quoted.
