UFC fans gather around for UFC 5 to introduce three new fighters to the game. Going live on May 28, the new update not only brings new fighters but more including gameplay adjustments.

UFC 5’s New Fighters

Let’s check out the next round of fighters that are waiting to take it to the ring in UFC 5:

Roman Dolidze

The greatest way to characterize Roman Dolidze’s fighting style is brutal. This behemoth from Georgia will not stop hitting his opponent until they surrender or lose consciousness, whether they are on the ground or in the clinch.

Benoît Saint Denis

An all-action fighter with a five-win, two-loss record in the UFC who has won every five fights by finish. Benoît Saint Denis has no idea what the word “quit” means. WAR is going to follow BSD into the UFC 5 Octagon!

Anthony Hernandez

Nothing about Anthony Hernandez’s fighting is “Fluffy,” despite his moniker. This unrelenting wrestler will thrash his opponent about the Octagon until all they want is a way out, and “Fluffy” is more than happy to provide it to them by submitting them quickly.

UFC 302 Fight Week Challenges and New Alter Egos

New fight week challenges and alter egos are being introduced to the game. These will be added on May 28, 2024, at approximately 4 pm PT. More details will be shared later!

Striking

The special lead hook block counter could no longer be partially blocked by fighters due to a fixed bug:

  • You can immediately respond with a lead hook if you block a hook or overhand on your lead side. In the past, opponents could hardly block it. Now, before the opposition can prevent it, the counter ought to land neatly.

Resolved a rare tracking problem where head movement warped the trajectory of the attack and may have resulted in unjust hits:

  • It was feasible that some slips had little gaps in their evasion windows, depending on the numbers. This problem might also cause some strikes land when they obviously shouldn’t, giving the impression that the trajectories of strikes are erratic. Our investigation focused on tiny side-to-side sways, but the solution we implemented was universal.

Resolved a discrepancy in the forward lead hook to straight combo while using the Celtic Cross:

  • In this particular combo, the Celtic Cross inadvertently moved four frames faster. Now, its speed will be the same as that of the other straights.

Grappling

  • Fixed a rare animation issue in exchanges from the over-under clinch.

Miscellaneous Additions and Updates

  • Welterweight now includes Michael Chandler.
  • New vanity items.
  • Fixed stat monitoring across many challenge types.
  • Rear audio problems with Dolby Atmos sound settings have been resolved.
  • For certain fighters in Career Mode, missing Tale of the Tape data has been corrected.
