Now we have another little scandal brewing, a financial one. Not a surprise at all, when you consider the characters. We have seen this kind of thing here before, and as we know those sworn to ethical behavior are finding ways to pick out of the pot. Altering financial documents with whiteout, even though the law says "thou shall not," is clearly acceptable Sealy behavior.
As for me, I would rather not be known for petty theft.
In light of all of the latest hoopla, I now wonder why we haven't had our local townhome association meeting yet. All of the years I have lived here, I have been treated like a leper because I had the nerve to ask for supporting documents at the meeting. I have dared suggest that certain people may not be paying condo fees.
Why wouldn't the president and his treasurer be happy to supply supporting evidence for the money they have claimed to spend? How does anyone who lives here know whether or not our money is spent responsibly if we never see any paperwork? For all I know, they go out on weekends and buy Texas sized margaritas.
When I consider the strange connection to my townhome follies, and the recent investigation into a certain public individual, my suspicions are only more intense. When I think about how I have been treated here then my hair kind of stands up on my neck.
It is completely ludicrous to just blindly trust people, whom you hardly know, with any amount of money. Most of us don't even trust our own spouses with money, so why is it so bizarre to ask a townhome association to ante up the books?
If you want to read about the Karen Mize scandal, then you will have to go to the Sealy News and find it for yourself. I tried to link it to my blog, but SURPRISE SURPRISE, it wouldn't work! As for Karen, she might be completely innocent.... :-) Typical Sealy!
