Batticaloa Police arrested two youths in connection with the recent murder of a 53-year-old father of three.
The victim has been identified as Vallipuram Anpalagan, from Muniativu, Periyaporaitivu, in the Kaluwanchikudy Police area.
His body was found at Lloyds Avenue, Batticaloa, last Friday and the post-mortem held on Monday (15) revealed that he had been murdered.
The two suspects are aged 21 and 22 and are from Batticaloa town. They were identified with footage on CCTV cameras.
The victim’s body has been handed over to relatives and the suspects are to be produced in court.
The Batticaloa Police are investigating.
