This past week I learned about two websites that I find interesting and expect that you may find them helpful for your marketing too.
Browser View: Ever wonder what do people actually see in their browsers when they look at your website? How much is cut off? Last week I talked about mobile phone browsers, but even regular desktop and lap top computers all have varying degrees of what people can actually see.
By using Google’s Browser Size tool, you’ll get an idea of what most of the people see of each website. Don’t forget to plug in your own URL into the box in the top.
P.S. Please let me know if you hear about Google coming out with the mobile phone version of this!
Video inside Email: Have you ever received an eyejot video email? It is from www.eyejot.com and it allows you to record a quick video (like a post it note but a video snippet) that you can email or embed like this:
This could be a neat tool to send a quick video as a follow up to a sales lead or to confirm an appointment. I think the trick is to keep it short and to the point.
The screen capture below is what it looks like in the email.
Important to note however that it doesn’t get past all spam blockers. If the contact’s email is set up not to show photos, the images will look like boxes with little red x’s in them.
Do you think you will use one or the other of these tools? Leave me a message and let me know.
