It was disclosed that voice tweets were introduced to allow users to quickly post tweets on Twitter without having to pass through the stress of typing.

However, alongside your voice tweets, you can also add text tweets which will serve as a follow-up. This will serve to enhance the overall user experience for tweeps using the platform.

With the voice tweet feature, your followers can listen to tweets made from your voice after posting them, instead of the traditional method of reading tweets.

Voice tweets add a significant improvement to the Twitter platform. Interestingly, it allows people to make tweets using their voice.

Since its debut last June, the voice tweets feature has been limited only to iOS devices. This implies that only Twitter users with an iPhone, using Twitter for iPhone can access the feature record and post voice tweets.

Regardless of the limitation, Android, desktop, and other devices can play voice tweets. The only challenge is that they won’t record and post.

Interestingly, the feature has witnessed great improvements like the auto-generated transcripts, which were recently added.

If you have an iPhone device and Twitter installed on it, you can record a voice tweet for two minutes and 20 seconds for an individual account. However, your tweet is automatically threaded to take up to 25 tweets if it exceeds the time limit.

How to Use Voice to Tweet on Twitter

  1. Launch the Twitter app on your iPhone and tap on the compose tweet icon (located at the bottom right).
  2. Next, tap the voice tweet icon above the keyboard and record a message.
  3. Finally, tap Done once you are ready to post.

Using voice tweets on Twitter is that simple. However, you can add text tweets as a follow-up.

Kindly note that your voice tweets do not work for replies and the tweet quoting feature. Besides, you cannot upload audio files as voice tweets on Twitter but can only record on the platform.

Note that Twitter let you post voice tweets just like texts. Although, you can also add texts as follow-up. Voice tweets Twitter duration for a message is two minutes 20 seconds.
