After enduring what seemed like endless struggle, TV personalities Giuliana and Bill Rancic finally have something to celebrate. The couple welcomed their first child, Edward Duke Rancic, on Wednesday, August 29th via gestational carrier. In the past, the couple had been very public about their desire to become parents as their battle with infertility was documented on their Style Network reality show “Giuliana & Bill”.
Bill Rancic is an entrepreneur and past winner of the popular show “The Apprentice” and Giuliana is an anchor with E! News. The birth of little Edward is the perfect light at the end of a really long tunnel for the couple. Giuliana and Bill, who have been married for five years, have shown an amazing amount of support for one another in the face of infertility, a devastating miscarriage, and unexpected illness.
Giuliana revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. The E! News host underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery in December. Giuliana has since beat breast cancer and has become an inspiration to many by openly sharing her story.
An elated Bill took to Twitter to welcome his newborn son by saying, “The “Duke” has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!”
