At the very beginning of season 5, E! Online spoke with Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) and his character’s odds of surviving the season. Kwanten teased that his character might not survive. According to what TV Guide’s Natalie Abrams posted earlier today, that might very will be true!
Last night’s trailer showed Jason and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) in a hole together with Jason looking very much like Tara (Rutina Wesley) did in the season premiere. You can see the capture for yourself above. To add fuel to the fire, Woll told TV Guide in a recent interview that the arrival of Lilith (Jessica Clark) would affect Jason because he’s a human and it is she who inspires the vampires to kill humans.
So is Jason going to be the next person to go vampire? Maybe. After all look how everything with Tara has turned out. In the Charlaine Harris novels, Stackhouse actually became a werepanther but the show decided not to go that route last season.
