Golden Milk: Today I am sharing a post on how to make Golden Milk at home.
What is Golden Milk?
Golden milk is a traditional Indian drink that people make with turmeric(Haldi), turmeric is the main ingredient in golden milk. Which gives it a yellow colour, people also call it golden milk.
What is Turmeric? Turmeric is a popular spice in Asian cuisine. It is the spice that gives curry its yellow colour. Haldi has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. Turmeric contains curcumin, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Golden milk ( haldi doodh) generally served as a warm beverage, especially for those who are suffering from cold and flu, turmeric milk also helps to increase immunity.

- Having a glass of haldi doodh at night acts as an anti-ageing tonic, beneficial for health and it induces good sleep.

Suggestions
For vegan:
- To make this drink vegan, swap the honey for maple syrup or stevia.
- If you are vegan you can substitute cow's milk for almond milk, coconut milk, cashew milk, whichever you prefer.
Sweetener:
- You can adjust the sweetener according to your taste.
- In this recipe the sweetener is optional. Use honey or agave for a similar taste.
Notes:
- You can also use star anise and cinnamon to enhance the flavour.
- You can also heat the milk in the microwave or on the stovetop.
