Tumbleweed may disappear here and there for a while, the hiatus was nearly two years this time & it felt like it may have lasted forever, but when friends twisted our arm to pull ourselves together to do a few shows in May, we had to think about a bass player. What do you do? It is a sensitive issue, too difficult to contemplate.
Jamie Cleaves has been playing around the 'Gong in bands since the early 90s, his band Shifter played many early shows with Tumbleweed and since then he's been playing in Lenny's other band, The Pink Fits.
He comes into the jam room and locks in immediately, not only his playing style but his personality as well, he just fits right into place.
There is new spark, it feels good again and it sounds better than ever!
