Gwen Stefani has the most inspirational celebrity midriff, a study has revealed. The 43-year-old No Doubt singer and mum-of-two saw off stiff competition from her younger rivals thanks to her famously toned tum.
Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole and Coronation Street beauty Michelle Keegan could only manage second and third place.
Other stars to lose out to the ‘Don’t Speak’ singer include Rihanna and Shakira who completed the top five.
Ruth Gresty, a spokeswoman for the All-Bran Five Day Challenge, which commissioned the study, said:
”Gwen’s yummy tummy has been talk of the town for years now and that doesn’t seem to be any different, even as she gets older.
”She’s a classic case of the “if you’ve got it, flaunt it mantra” and it’s great to see she is still wowing us at 43 and standing out against celebrities half her age who are still yet to have children.
”However, while many women dream of having a midriff to rival her, a flat, less bloated stomach can prove elusive no matter how many crunches they do.
”But the secret can be as simple as making a few small dietary changes like eating a fiber rich breakfast cereal every day, which is proven to ease bloating and that swollen tum look.”
The study, of 2,000 women, saw sixth place go to actress Jennifer Aniston, 44, who will soon be showing off her toned tum in her new film, We’re the Millers, where she plays a stripper.
Singing superstar Beyonce was at seven, followed by actress Halle Berry and model Kelly Brook.
Keira Knightly completed the top ten.
Other female celebrities to feature in the poll included Mila Kunis, Madonna and Kate Hudson.
When it comes to male celebs, Goldenballs footballer David Beckham still scores the highest with the nation’s ladies, coming out on top of the poll, followed by Magic Mike star Channing Tatum.
Mysterious Girl crooner Peter Andre came third, whilst Twilight star Taylor Lautner and actor Brad Pitt finished in the top five.
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star Matthew McConaughey was voted into sixth place, with TOWIE’s Mark Wright and High School Music heart-throb Zac Efron close behind.
Singer Justin Timberlake and Twilight vampire Robert Pattinson were also among the top ten.
