Trying a "painting" Style in This Abststract Drawing

By Abstractartbylt @artbylt

I made some abstract paintings this year in which I built up small brush strokes to develop the final image.  In today's drawing, I experimented with a similar style.  I used the thick end of my calligraphy pens to make spots of color, with shades of mostly reds placed next to and on top of each other.  I added some lighter shades and darker colors for interest and depth.  Finally, I used fine-tipped pens for textured lines to complete the drawing.
