One of the things Donald Trump whines the most about is the trade balance between the U.S. and other countries. Unfortunately, he is ignorant about that trade balance -- and wants to blame other countries instead of the American companies (like his own) that have their products made in other countries.
He put his ignorance on display for the Japanese people, when he made the following statement while visiting their country:
"Try building your cars in the United States instead of shipping them over. Is that possible to ask? That's not rude. Is that rude? I don't think so."
That statement had to be puzzling for the Japanese carmakers, because they have been making many of their cars in the United States for years now. Nissan makes 9 of their autos here, Toyota makes 9 of their autos here, and Honda makes 11 of their autos here. These Japanese auto makers have created thousands of jobs in the United States.
If there were any Japanese who didn't realize we elected a moron with massive ignorance to be our president, then this has probably removed any doubt.
