The chart above reflects the results of the two latest polls on the presidential preference of national Republicans.
The Monmouth University Poll was done between October 15th and 18th of a random national sample of 348 registered Republicans, and has a 5.3 point margin of error.
The NBC News / Wall Street Journal Poll was done between October 15th and 18th of a random national sample of 400 Republican primary voters, and has a margin of error of 4.9 points.
Both polls show that Donald Trump continues to lead all other candidates, closely followed by Ben Carson (who is down 4 points in the NBC poll and 10 points in the Monmouth poll). The biggest difference between the two polls is who they have in third place. The Monmouth poll has Ted Cruz in third with 10% (and Marco Rubio tied for fourth with 6%). The NBC poll has Rubio in third with 13% (and Cruz in fourth with 9%). Both polls show Fiorina continues to fade.
