True Blood was met with lots of love last night at Spike TV’s Scream Awards 2011. Out of seven nominations, they picked up three major awards. Although the awards won’t air until Tuesday 10/18, Spike TV has announced the winners on its website.
Fans of the show already know that True Blood has the best cast on television. But it was confirmed last night when they picked up the award for Best Ensemble.
The men of True Blood were also honored as well last night. Joe Manganiello took home a well deserved award for breakout male performance for the role of Alcide Herveaux.
Alexander Skarsgård also took his third Scream Award home for Best Horror Actor playing Eric Northman. He took the prize home in that category for 2010 too.
Congratulations to the entire cast and to Joe and Alexander twice over. It was a well deserved win!
