It’s True Blood season 5 spoiler Thursday, Truebies! And today we’ve gotten news that Marcus‘ mom is heading to Bon Temps, and she’s not too happy. Michael Ausiello of TV Line reported earlier today that Dale Dickey (My Name is Earl) is joining the HBO hit as Annie, Marcus’ (Daniel Buran) werewolf mother. Annie is powerful and respected within the pack due to her late son’s position, and she’s determined to perform a particular ritual. Hmmm, what kind of ritual could that be? Most likely one involving Alcide Herveaux!
Dickey has made a career of playing rather rough and tough Southern women, most recently in Winter’s Bone (her performance was riveting, and award-winning). Dickey is set to recur throughout the fifth season of True Blood.
