Nelsan Ellis, who plays Lafayette Reynolds on HBO‘s True Blood has signed on to direct Katori Hall‘s ‘HooDoo Love’ at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago this fall. The play, set in the South in the 1930′s will be the debut of Ellis’ African American focused theatre company the Collective Theatre which was formed with friends he went to high school with. The play will run from September 22nd to October 21st and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
