True Blood’s Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica Hamby) may be trading in the fangs, but she’s certainly not giving up the drama for her newest project. He Loves Me is a follow up dramatic comedy to 2006′s fantastic Little Miss Sunshine and will star Woll, Antonio Banderas, Steve Coogan, Elliot Gould, Chris Messina, Paul Dano, and Zoe Kazan. Woll will play the ex-girlfriend of the main character (played by Dano), and while our baby vamp has several movies in production and a few small independents under her belt, she’s yet to be seen in a major theatrical release.
He Loves Me is the story of a young novelist Calvin (Dano) who achieves success early in his career but begins to face some internal struggles. In an attempt to overcome writer’s block, he is told to write about the woman he thinks will love him, and winds up willing her into existence (think Weird Science-style). Kazan, Dano’s real-life girlfriend, will star as the conjured woman (she also wrote the film’s screenplay).
The film has begun shooting in L.A. but no release date has been set.
