True Blood‘s Carrie Preston, who plays Arlene Fowler on the hit HBO show, will have a guest starring role in the USA Network’s Royal Pains in September. Preston will play successful romance novelist Jackie Van Ark, who takes her daughter to HankMed for treatment of mysterious symptoms. According to TV Line, “while easygoing Jackie couldn’t seem more different from her high-strung spawn, it turns out they have more in common than they thought”.
