Trends for Fall 2015

By Momfashionlifestyle @Fashnlifestyle

As the temperature cools from the summer months, it's time to put away those summer dresses and fill your wardrobe with clothes appropriate for colder climates. Let's take a look at some of the fashion you'll see in stores this fall.

Trends for Fall 2015

Car Wash Skirts
Last season was all about fringe, and now it's time for what Glamour calls its "polished sister." Car wash skirts first made their debut in the 1990s when pleated skirts were in, and later made a comeback when Dior launched their fall collection earlier this year, which is a nice change from the typical thigh-high slit and a great way to bare some skin without showing off too much leg. The beauty of this trend is that no matter what type of body you have, it gives a tasteful, flattering look to your legs. The skirts are usually best paired with sharp blouses, so keep that in mind.

Neon
For those that thought neon could only be worn during the warmer months, they might be pleasantly surprised to know many shops have started to stock fluorescent tones. While these bright colors are quite playful and work well with summer outfits, they perfectly compliment black and gray hues, which makes it easier for your neon items to transition into the fall, creating a 1980s meets early 2000s look composed of contrasting neon and neutral colors. Neon accessories add an extra pop to a simple, neutral colored outfit as demonstrated by Bustle.

All Black
Black has always been super classy and very popular for its slimming effect, and for the fall fashion shows it was all about head-to-toe black outfits. Designers wanted to capitalize on consumers who love the monochromatic look; so all-black collections were what they delivered. Some of the clothing lines showcased received some criticism for being too black, but in all honesty, who doesn't love black?

Fun Hosiery
Black stockings are essential for fall and later for winter, but it might be time to play it up by purchasing a variety of hosiery, from the colorful to the geometric designed, to spice up your look this fall. Most stockings are made from nylon or a blend of nylon with other fabrics, although you'll find some of them are actually made from cotton, knitted wool and silk. The materials are generally quite delicate and should be handled with care when they're being laundered. According to a fabric care guide on Adam & Eve, silk only should be hand washed because of how delicate it is.

Sleek Gloves
Amal Clooney may have been the inspiration behind the sleek glove trend as designers featured a beautiful selection of gloves on the runway recently. Balenciaga showed off a pair of chic black gloves that ended just past the wrists, while others demonstrated a fondness for arm-length gloves. Lanvin even added some fringe alongside the gloves, exhibiting that gloves can be just as fun as any other accessory in your wardrobe
