When it comes to lip colors I tend to go one of two ways: the chapstick overlaid with nude or a bold red. That is pretty much it. With a new season always comes a new array of lip colors and to be honest I normally don’t pay any attention but this fall seasons ‘it’ lip color of berry has really peaked my interest.
Last weekend I had an errand to run at Nordstrom (I ran out of my tinted eye brightener) and you can probably guess how this story ends. I went in for ONE thing, got distracted in the Nordstrom beauty department (it’s hard not to)! Every time I get in that department I want everything. There is something about make up that is just fun to try out. As I previously mentioned, I have been infatuated with the velvet berry lip trend for fall, so what better time to try it out than when I was in the beauty department! After getting adjusted to a darker lip and trying SO many different shades with the help of the sweet girl at Nordstrom, we decided that the Chanel Rouge Allure Envoutante & Bobbi Brown Blackberry would compliment my completion the most! Although a velvet berry lip makes a bold statement, surprisingly it is quite versatile and can be worn on everyone. How do you feel about the velvet berry lip trend?
Beauty Tip: darker complexions can handle a thick berry lip with and more pale complexions look best with a more sheer berry tinted lip…When going with a bold berry lip this fall make sure to keep your other make up (especially your eyes) minimal.
