I think there are a few things that are very appealing about this new,huge trend. First of all, it is an overall classy look, but does add a hint of sex appeal. Second, it allows you to wear something tight while having the fabric "give" (aka the slit). And third, it forces you to keep it classy on the top, and then depending on the dress you show as little or as much leg as you want. The high slit on a maxi also allows you to wear a long dress without feeling the commitment of a long dress (being too conservative, too much material, not showing off your figure, etc.) Which ones do you like?
