Davao is a beautiful region I wouldn't mind returning to. There's plenty to see and do even if you're staying for just 4 days. There's the beach, parks, and other attractions to fill your itinerary.
Here's a travel guide budget and itinerary for Davao.
Places of Interest in Davao
There's plenty to see and do during your visit to Davao. It's impossible to do everything in 4 days. You'd have to make a return trip to explore Davao's attractions and enjoy them. Here are some places of interest you might want to include in your itinerary.
Davao City
How to Go to Samal Island
You can board a boat departing for the island from either Sasa or Sta. Ana Wharf. It takes two jeep rides to reach either one, which can cost you around P20 one way. The boat that leaves from Sta. Ana Wharf costs approximately P60 one way and takes around 45 minutes. The boat that departs from Sasa Wharf costs around P10 one way and only takes roughly five minutes. A tricycle or motorcycle taxi can take you to your accommodation. You can also hire one for the day.

Getting Around Davao
Davao City is much like Metro Manila. You can use Grab for a ride or flag a taxi. Taxi fares start at around P40 and go up by P15 each kilometer. There are also jeeps that take you anywhere, fare is around P10 to P20 depending on the distance. Tricycles are also an option but they're more expensive than jeeps with fares approximately P50 to P100.
How to Go to Davao
There are plenty of flights departing from Manila or Clark to Davao City. Philippine Airlines, AirAsia and Cebu Pacific ply these routes frequently. Book flights months before your trip to get the lowest possible fare.
Get in and out of the airport
The most convenient way to get out of Davao's airport is to take an airport taxi which costs anywhere between P150 to P300 depending on which part of the city your accommodation is. Taking the jeep is cheaper, but is less convenient. You'll have to get on the main road outside the airport to get on a jeep. Fare is around P20 to P50 depending on where you'll alight. You might have to transfer to another jeep before reaching your final stop. The jeep option is a hassle, if you're carrying a lot of bags.
Where to Stay in Davao
Davao is a big city with plenty of options for accommodation. You can stay in the city or Samal Island to be near the beach.
