The Flatiron District of Manhattan is a hub of many great things. From residential areas to important historical buildings, this district really has it all. Located in mid-southern Manhattan, the Flatiron District is a place that draws in both tourists and locals alike. One could work here, shop here, or relax in a park here.
5th and 23rd
The district is unsurprisingly named after the Flatiron Building, the iconic skyscraper that marks the heart of this area. Once the tallest building in all of New York, the Flatiron is a national historic landmark that’s easily recognizable by its unique triangular shape.
Also in this district is the Met Life Tower and Madison Square Garden, two places that have also existed since New York’s early days. It’s nice to see that there are still parts of this big city that haven’t been changed by the coming of time.
Met Life Tower and Madison Square Garden
Because the Flatiron District covers a part of 5th avenue, lots of amazing shopping can be done here too. It’s really quite the comprehensive area.
