Verdict: Easily One of the Best Zombie Films in Years
Story: Train to Busan starts as we meet business man Seok Woo (Gong) who is stuck in the middle of a custody battle with his ex-wife over their daughter Soo-an (Kim). He has been struggling to find time for his daughter in Seoul and has to take her to Busan on the train to be with her mother.
As the train leaves we see the first sights of the zombies in Seoul but to make matters worse one of the infected makes it on board the train. Soon the zombie start multiplying and it becomes a battle to survive.
Train to Busan is what all zombie films strive to be, a film that has characters you actually care about where if things happen to them you care what happens to them. We have plenty of non-stop action which has moments that leave you breathless because it all comes off stunning in places. It could be put up there with the very best zombie movies where we could easily chat about this film with Romero’s or 28 Days Later. All I can say is go in and enjoy this truly amazing zombie horror which could easily be the best for years.
Overall: Simply One of the Best Zombie Films in Years
