True Blood’s Deborah Ann Woll is in the new Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris film, “Ruby Sparks.” They were the directors of Little Miss Sunshine and the film was written by Zoe Kazan, who also stars as the title character.
A character in novels by struggling writer Calvin, played by Paul Dano, suddenly materializes in the flesh. Complications and possible hilarity ensues.
The cast is rounded out by Antonio Banderas, Annette Bening, Steve Coogan, Elliott Gould, Chris Messina and Deborah Ann Woll.
Ruby Sparks is set to open July 25.
