A Reddit-fueled spike in stock prices for retailer GameStop and film chain AMC has resulted in a movie-worthy drama about who gets to influence the stock market intricate stock trading apps like Robinhood. It also set one Hedge Funds in the Spotlight and how they make money.
The Triple Threat Louise Linton wrote, directed, and starred in Me You Madness, a comedy thriller. It plays Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) as the thief and potential victim of a serial killer. A new trailer released on Thursday is full of expensive cars and sharp knives.
Linton plays hedge fund manager Catherine Black. "She lives a luxurious life with an architectural dream house in Malibu, exclusive designer fashion, fast cars and exquisite jewelry," says the film description. "She doesn't need a man except to literally satisfy her natural serial killer instinct."
Linton is best known for her horror roles in Cabin Fever and Intruder and as the wife of former US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who worked under the Trump administration. Mnuchin had been a hedge fund manager who added an extra layer of intrigue to the premise of Me You Madness.
Me You Madness will be available for streaming upon request on February 12th in the US. It may be the perfect movie for its time, as everyone in the world seems to know what a hedge fund manager is.
