TOV Rejects Abutbols Offer for Shefa Department

I received the following statement from someone in TOV regarding the offer from Mayor of Bet Shemesh Moshe Abutbol to take over the now-vacant position as head of the Shefa department of the city: תנועת טוב החליטה שלא לקבל לידיה את תיק שפ "ע ושלא לחבור לקואליציה  כיוון שהיה ניכר כי כל מטרתו של ראש העיר הינה אך ורק כדי להציל את מצבו בעיריה ולא כדי להביא תוצאה אמיתית לטובת התושבים  כמו כן תנועת טוב רואה את המשחק המכוער אשר מנהל ראש העיר בימים אלו ביחד עם בלעיש כניסיון מביש אשר אינו עולה בקנה אחד עם עם יושר אישי מינימאלי
which translates to: The TOV movement has decided not to accept the Shefa portfolio and to not join the coalition, because it was clear that the entire objective of the mayor was only to save his situation in City Hall and not to actually bring about true results for the benefit of the residents. As well, TOV sees the ugly game being run by the mayor during these days together with Balaish as a shameful attempt that does not go hand in hand with basic personal integrity.
I am happy they did not fall for his trap. They had almost nothing to gain and almost everything to lose from it.
