Visiting Rome wouldn’t be complete without diving into the history of the city and visiting the world-famous Colosseum.

The Colosseum

Dating back to AD 80, the Colosseum is one of the most iconic attractions in the world. At one point in time, the 50,000-seat arena held ferocious animal fights, gladiator tournaments, and fast and furious games.

You’ll get to experience the past in action on a tour of the Colosseum. Discover the remains of the imposing structure and almost see the gladiators lining up for battle in the central pit.

Roman Forum

The Roman Forum is an important part of Rome’s heritage. It used to be the political, commercial, and social hub of the Roman Empire, but it is now a series of ruins that date back thousands and thousands of years. As you wander around, you’ll be able to get a glimpse into what life used to be like in the city and uncover some fascinating archaeological findings, like the Arch of Titus, the House of Vestals, and the funeral altar of Julius Caesar.

Palatine Hill

The final stop on the trio of Rome’s ancient wonders is the Palatine Hill. Looking out over the sprawling expanse of Rome, this is thought to be the spot where Romulus founded the city. From the peak, you can gaze out over incredible views of the surrounding scenery, including the eye-catching ruins of the Imperial Palace and Circus Maximus.

This tour offers the perfect introduction to the history of Rome. You’ll get to visit some of the city’s major attractions and learn all about what life used to be like thousands of years ago. As well as wandering through the ancient structure of the Colosseum, you can discover the ruins of the Roman Forum, where there is a collection of preserved remains from some of the city’s most prominent buildings, and Palatine Hill, where Rome was born.
