Here's this weeks Topshop Weekly Edit. I could of got this post up and running quicker, however I have so many essays to write and reading to do. I can't quite believe that my time at university is slowly coming to an end. Sob *que for the violins. The next few months are going to include a combination of essays and exam prep and are going to be pretty heavy going but it'll pay off. This week I've been missing that tiny glimpse of Spring we were teased with last week, and have desperately been hoping for the sun to show itself once again. The more I conjure up summer outfits in my head, the more I want summer to be here. But I'm happy with Spring for now and can't wait for the temperature to pick up so I can bare my legs and wear my ankle boots with frilled pastel socks. This week again my two favorite Spring/Summer looks - denim tones and whites. I don't really have a favorite this week as I would wear all these looks, but I particularly like the pastel swirled, tie dye effect bikini in 'Beach Babe', teamed with some 90's jellies. I think my first pair of jellies will be black. I can just envisage myself now sporting this combo to the ice cream kiosk.
In my last Tumblr post I featured a white leather backpack which was adorable, and after not being able to locate one, along came this one. I use my black leather backpack from Topshop a lot, and am really tempted by this white one. Perhaps ditch the black one for the winter, and invest in a white one for Spring/Summer. I also love the Metallic Sweat by Tee and Cake which works perfectly contrasted with white. Check out the rest of their range at Topshop here, The House Mesh Sporty Lace Sandals featured are quite different, and I am not completely converted, however I think they are one of those types of shoes that'll look good on, and they very much remind me of these Kurt Geiger wedges featured here on my instagram a while ago. Lastly, I just wanted to mention the dungarees. They may not seem an easy piece to work into an outfit but I can assure you they are. Leave them to be a statement, by teaming them with a simple vest/tee and some converse. I got a pair from Asos recently and I love them. I've also had my eye on a smart black pair from River Island to dress up for an evening look. These Topshop ones look the perfect shade of denim contrasted again a pale blue cropped cami and white sandals. If you haven't already, see my previous post 'Denim Edit', which features some of my favorite denim pieces I found on the high street.
I've had some positive feedback on the Topshop Weekly Edit posts, with some readers suggesting it has given them inspiration and ideas to incorporate garments of their own into various different outfits. Without sounding like I'm preaching, if you want some style advice, or would like some ideas of what to wear with certain products please drop me a comment or tweet me @hubbyxx
