Because Beaches
Palawan has plenty of bone, white sand beaches that are soft as powder, whether you visit Coron's or El Nido's attractions. The glass-like, cerulean waters are also quite beautiful, even if you don't swim. The waters are cool, perfect for dousing the heat of the sun. You’ll have more fun if you’re able to score a beach resort accommodation in Palawan.
A beach in Coron
The beautiful view makes you just want to sit down, unwind and relax.Dibutunay Island
Dibutunay Island is one of the destinations included in a tour to Calauit Safari, very few people make it this far, that's why it's an idyllic attraction for those who want to get away from the crowds.Tour C, El Nido
My friend and I were the only ones on this beach when we booked tour C during our trip to El Nido.Snake Island, Tour B
San Vicente Beach
Palawan doesn't only have white, powdery sand beaches, but also one of the longest in the country. Why not visit this one in San Vicente before the developments reach their peak?Nacpan Beach
Nacpan Beach's iconic view from up a hill makes the rough trip to it worthwhile. The Views Are Awesome
Palawan and its destinations isn't just about getting in and out of the water. There are plenty of moments where you'll just stop and stare because of the spectacular views. The towering karst formations surrounding the lagoons and beaches are worth a second look and the iconic view of the giant rock rising above the waters in Coron are picture perfect.
There were just too many moments where I just stopped what I was doing to admire the view. I'm sure you will feel the same when you see the many different places in one of the world's most beautiful islands.
There's a Safari
Do you want to see giraffes and zebras? You don't have to go to Africa to see them, there's a reserve right in Calauit. The safari has successfully protected and bred these two animals among a few others in this part of Palawan. The drawback to visiting the safari is the time it takes to get there, my sister and I booked a boat trip which took around 3 to 4 hours one way.
Unforgettable Sunsets
We all know how beautiful the sunsets are in Boracay, but those in El Nido can rival them. Las Cabanas doesn't have the same beautiful beach like those in the tours you take. However, people visit this area to watch the sunset.
This is the perfect place to cap off your last night in El Nido or just after a tour to the many islands.
Spectacular Lagoons
El Nido's lagoons are one of the best I've seen. The waters are mirror-like and cool, and the views are beautiful. In some cases, you might be the only person or group in the area.
Other than El Nido, there are also a handful of spectacular lagoons in the tours you take in Coron. You can't go wrong with either place.
UNESCO Heritage Site
When you book a ticket to Palawan, you will likely pass through Puerto Princesa unless you get a direct flight to El Nido or Coron. It's impossible not to hear or read about the Underground River before, during or after your trip. You'll likely hear other travelers on a tour boat, beach or accommodation talking about this destination.
These are just some of the many reasons to explore Palawan; Coron, El Nido and Puerto Princesa are only some of the many other unexplored and less touristy destinations on the island.
