Top 5 Spring 2013 Trends

By Momfashionlifestyle @Fashnlifestyle

When I started my blog a year ago I knew I didn’t want it to be about runway shows and impractical fashion. I love watching Fashion Week, but I want to be able to incorporate these trends into everyday fashion. Are the Ready to Wear shows, really ready for Everyday Mom’s to wear? I think not. With that said, I still like sharing whats hot each season, so you can add random little pieces to your wardrobe to remain stylish.

I am well aware that it is the middle of January, and if you are like most people in the world it’s Winter. But since it is almost 80 here, I figured I would do a post on 5 Spring Trends that would be easily incorporated into a Mom’s wardrobe.

The first thing you should know is there are a few trends, Prints {allover prints as well as graphic T’s and leather {faux or real}, will be carrying over from 2012 into 2013.

Leather detailing is a great way to wear leather when you don’t want to go out looking like a biker, or Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Examples would be a top, or handbag, or leggings with leather piping. I absolutely love this embroidered faux leather peplum by Zara {pictured below}.  I actually own the same one but haven’t gotten to wear it yet! It looks awesome with this pencil skirt.

Animal Prints are of course my print of choice.

Cobalt Blue is the “it” color for Spring 2013. This trend is an easy one to do… add it with a scarf, belt or handbag!

Black and White. I love this trend because it is easily interchangeable. From your whole outfit being black, with the addition of white accessories… to a white top and black pants or vise versa…. there is practically a zero percent failure rate when it comes to this trend! Hey! You can even wear all black, and add Cobalt Blue accessories for the perfect Spring 2013 Outfit!
