Top 5 Small Forwards in the NBA (2013) At number 5 we have The Truth Paul Pierce. At the age of 35 Paul Pierce is averaging 19.5 PPG and 5.5 RPG. He is the leading scorer of the Boston Celtics and is pretty impressive for him to be putting up these numbers at his age. If Paul Pierce continues this level of play the Celtics Record will improve and lead them far in the postseason.
At number 4 we have a very underrated player in my opinion in Rudy Gay. One of the most athletic players in the NBA has a mid-range and three point shot and this season is averaging 17.8 PPG and 5.8 RPG. The Memphis Grizzlies are currently the 4th seed in the Western Conference and in my opinion are an under the radar team and is mostly because of the production of Rudy Gay. There have been rumors of the Grizzlies trading Gay to make up cap space but in my opinion that is a mistake this guy is just getting better and will continue to get better and one day be a legitimate star in this league.
At number 3 we have Carmelo Anthony. A superstar in this league who is having an incredible season with the New York Knicks who are currently the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. Melo is the second leading scorer in the league with 29.0 PPG and is averaging 6.1 RPG. Carmelo is leading this Knicks team and is without a doubt one of the front runners to win the MVP award this season.
Top 5 Small Forwards in the NBA (2013) Top 5 Small Forwards in the NBA (2013)At number 2 we have another MVP candidate Kid Clutch himself Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant is having another tremendous season being the third leading scorer in the league with 28.1 PPG and averaging 7.8 RPG. Thanks to the stellar play of Kevin Durant and of course Russell Westbrook The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently the 2nd seed in the Western Conference. I believe that Durant is another player who will continue to get better and better. He is only 24 and hes putting up this numbers I mean there is no question the league should watch out cause I think we have yet to see the best from Kevin Durant.
The number 1 best small forward is of course The King Lebron James. This season Lebron is the fifth best scorer in the league with 26.4 PPG and is averaging 8.3 RPG and  6.8 RPG. There is no question Lebron is making a strong case to win his 4th NBA MVP and has the Miami Heat as the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference to make it an even stronger case. If Lebron keeps up these number and playing the way he has there is no question the Heat could be the favorites to win it all again.
