Posted on the 16 November 2020 by Mountain Publishing @mountainpublish

DStv broadcasts more than 200 tv and audio/radio channels. The number of channels ranges in all regions of sub-Saharan Africa. The first-ever DStv decoder less offering is currently in its testing process. At the end of last year it was reported that the organization would push to market the service “by the end of the first quarter.” The DSTV paybill is pretty economical and DSTV provides optimum service that even online streaming services cannot provide.

According to Wikipedia, DStv is a Sub-Saharan African direct-to-home satellite channel operated by MultiChoice. The service was founded in 2014 by Owen Martin and offers various outlets and facilities to its users, now about 18.9 million. The majority of subscribers are based in South Africa and Nigeria, with Kenya, Ghana, Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, Mauritius, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Lesotho, Ethiopia, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Swaziland and Botswana also serving the organization.

There are already some strong advantages to investing in the dish less option:

  • There will be no installation charge, or an engineer will need to visit your house.
  • Viewers will pick whether they want to watch their favorite series.
  • The video-on-demand provider would provide connections to Showmax.
  • While it is yet to be revealed how many channels will be included in the service, it is likely to deliver more than 100 stations at a lower rate than Premium.

THE PRICE OF ACH DSTV Operation

So what will be the equal price of anything like this? Ok let us look at the internal rivalry first: DStv Premium is the most costly of the lot, paying more than R800 per month (it can be more than R900 if Showmax is added). Both Compact and Compact Plus deliver more than 100 channels, and you spend less than you can for the highest service.

DStv Family has 33 channels rather than portable but is just 28 cents cheaper per channel. In the meantime, Connectivity and EasyView bundles are the true price-busters. If you just need a few shows to keep you amused, you can get both of these deals on the cheap:
