Michael Fassbender is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood today, today marks his birthday so I am going to look at my top 5 favorite roles. Michael is one of the many stars who turned up in ‘Band of Brothers’ to kick start his career and have been nominated for one Oscar for 12 Years a Slave even though many people thought he should have had one for Shame. Shame isn’t going to make my list as I haven’t seen it, but what would make your list?
5. Erik Lehnsherr (X-Men Franchise)
When this franchise decided to go prequel Michael got the role as Magneto and having to follow in the footsteps of Ian McKellen was never going to be easy. Michael made it easy and never once looked out of place in this role.
4. Edwin Epps – 12 Years A Slave (2012)
Edwin is the villain of the piece and a very twisted slave master who treats his slaves horribly. You will remember this performance long after the film is finished.
3. Lt Archie Hicox – Inglorious Basterds (2009)
Archie might only be in a couple of scenes but that bar scene is one of the many intense scenes created in this film. How many drinks do you want?
2. Frank – Frank (2014)
Frank is the enigma of a singer of the odd ball band always after the perfect song. This film is breath taking but you add in the fact that Frank has a giant plaster head which he never takes off even if Fassbender was the biggest name in the film.
1. David – Prometheus (2012)
David was the highlight of the much question film, it isn’t long until we start to love this character because of his ability to be evil while looking perfectly harmless through the film.
