Top 5 Favourite Kurt Russell Roles

By Newguy

Kurt Russell is one of the most iconic men in Hollywood today with a career that has gone over 50 years with some of the most popular characters in film. Like all actors he has had his ups and down but right now his career is at one of its highest peaks. I am going to look at my five favorite roles which looks like it is going to be a lot hard than I thought.

5. Sheriff Hunt – Bone Tomahawk (2015)

The newest film on the list, well for the UK anyway follows Sheriff Hunt as he leads a team to locate the teams missing Doctor. In this film Russell shines in the leading role letting the supporting cast get their own moments too in a film where he could have been the most important character stealing the spotlight instead he shares it.

4. Stuntman Mike – Death Proof (2007)

Hey, Pam, remember when I said this car was death proof? Well, that wasn’t a lie. This car is 100% death proof. Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you REALLY need to be sitting in my seat. This quote along makes me love this film.

3. John Ruth – The Hateful Eight (2015)

John is known as the hangman who makes sure all of his bounties get hung for their crimes. Reteaming with Tarantino had put Russell firmly back on the leading role map in a film that he shines in.

2. R.J. MacReady – The Thing (1982)

R.J has to lead the men through the terror that is happening on the isolated Antarctic base, he must question his friends when the shapeshifting creature invades the base making no one a friend. One of the greatest sci-fi horror films ever made where Russell shines in the leading role.

1. Snake Plissken – Escape From New York (1981)
